Pectoral Cross After Being Cleaned
Chest crosses "Crucifixion of Christ" were produced in big quantities in 17th and 18th centuries Russia. They were made in different sizes: for boys and girls, men and women. Pectoral crosses of closed shape were worn by the Old Believers or Old Ritualists. Such crosses depicted an 8-pointed crucifix with surrounding floral ornaments on the obverse, and texts of prayers on the reverse.
