Metal Detecting in Ivanovo Region, Central Russia (Story 16)
This metal detecting site was small in size which was revealed by a few green squares, in early spring they appear first - exact spots where the houses or other homestead structures stood before.
Bright Green Plants - an Indicator of Former House Location
Right next to the green square, I recovered my first find - a silver plated rosette or badge with a round boss design used for decorating a horse saddle, circa 18th century.
A Piece of Leather Was Still Attached to the Back
Next find was a common Soviet coin, 1932 5 Kopeks.
