Metal Detecting in Ivanovo Region, Central Russia (Story 16)
After long driving through the maze of numerous dirt roads, getting lost a couple of times and looking for shortcuts, we finally arrived to the campsite at the end of this unsuccessful day.
Last Hour of Daylight
Other two teams had already gathered there, set up their tents, built a campfire and were enjoying it with a shot of hard liquor. But nobody talked about having had a great metal detecting day. Everybody hoped for the better tomorrow. At least we did not have to drive anywhere in the morning as we were right at the spot.

Our Mobile Camp in the Morning
The last day of our "metal detecting festival" began with a bright sunlight and clear blue sky. Most members of the group just sat at the breakfast table, drank their coffees and enjoyed a beautiful morning. That was understandable - they needed to get as much rest and relaxation as possible in the quiet countryside before returning to their busy lives in megalopolises full of daily problems, stress, hassle and bustle.
"Chewing the Rug" Over Breakfast
The rest of our collective, those who preferred active rest and still wanted to "hit the jackpot," went metal detecting right away.
