Finding Old Relic - Bronze Spur Buckle, and Copper Coin

At that moment, I wished Maxim had had his own detector by now, so all of us could enjoy the hunt at the same time. Instead, I decided to chill and enjoy quiet and warm evening, at least until Irina would score.

Treasure Hunters in Action

And she did! Her relic find was a nice trapezoidal breech or spur buckle with elaborate openwork design fitted with a cast copper-alloy pin.

Medieval Belt Buckle is Discovered

Being a complex metal detector, Minelab E-Trac requires analytical thinking from a user. I was not surprised to see Maxim and Irina combining their efforts to figure out various signals of E-Trac. (Or Maxim got tired a little as it had been a long while since the last time he treasure hunted.)

Investigating a Metal Detected Target

Only later, when I was looking at the following picture for the first time, I realized that I totally forgot to adjust the E-Trac's shaft to Irina's height, so she could feel comfortable swinging this heavy machine. That adjustment would be fast and easy! But... Well... She was too preoccupied with her quest for coins to ask me, and I was too preoccupied with I do not know what to be more considerate. Anyway, she had naturally found a solution.
