It is Important To Investigate Every "Large" Signal - It May Be A Buried Cache
At that point, I realized that nobody had metal detected at the site before Tahhir discovered it. And then it hit me: it was a Virgin site! I was wondering what finds were to be recovered soon when suddenly I heard a sound of diesel motor and noticed a huge monstrous lumber truck on the road. The truck was loaded with wood logs that had been illegally cut down in the forest nearby.
The truck stopped, and the driver asked Tahhir what we were doing here. Tahhir told him that we were looking for meteorites. The truck driver chuckled, murmured something like, "you guys are crazy," and drove off.
Tahhir and I resumed our treasure hunting. I received a good signal. It turned out to be a Soviet sport medal from 1930s.
It depicted an athlete crossing a finish line ribbon which had a Soviet Propaganda slogan inscribed on it - some sort of vintage sport memorabilia.
