This photo gallery depicts images of WW2 military artefacts which were recovered by relic hunters at the various World War II battlefield sites in Russia. Searching for the WWII artifacts, either by metal detecting or probing the ground with a long steel rods, is very popular in the Eastern Europe. Such an activity invovles many so called "war diggers" or "military diggers" - people of all ages and backgrounds, that devote their spare time to this dangerous and physically exhausting hobby of military archaeology.
