Searching for Ancient Village Site in the Fields
One hour of scouting around did not bring any results so we moved to a different field which did not have anything planted on it, a gully was in close proximity to it.
I went to the gully's bottom to start my search walking uphill. The temperature reached 104°F, and I started thinking about planning a metal detecting trip to Central Africa - I could do it there!
The "red-hot" cushions of my headphones were burning my ears, but I could still hear a solid bronze signal. Popped up a plain convex button, circa late 18th century.
A solid coin signal resulted in digging up a large "copper." With my blurry vision (from the heat and sweat), I could not see first what it was.
