All the different brand names that say GP on them and the ones with well known brand names that look identical all seem to use the same components they can even interchange components where the difference seems to be is in quality control in assembly. Whether it is a 12 GP off Amazon or a 100 from a major MD supply, it is the same pinpointer. I read the reviews on different brands and got a 12 GP off Amazon that had good quality control of assembly and is working as should. The most common problem ss the coil not being pushed all the way in and seated which you have to disassemble to correct. The other problem is bad soldering on connections which you may or may not be able to correct, but I know of people that say theirs going on three years for the price you cannot beat. Just read up to see which ones are not having problems.
