Great for a Beginner
by Charlie in kent uk -
This light weight metal detector is easy to use: just set up the dicrimination then the threshold - simple. You get a lot of a metal detector for the price. This machine is ideal for begginers just starting the hobby. It has a detecting depth of 8 - 10 inches.
Overall this is a great machine for any first time buyers wanting to try out the hobby.

Great Detector for a Low Price
by David C. in UK -
I don't like metal detectors that are complicated to set up. This low price CS440XD is extremly easy to set up and use. I didn't expect much performance because this detector costs just about 130 GBP., but I was wrong. This detector can find coins over 8 inches deep with a strong signal. It is so lightweight (just about 2 pounds). It even has good discrimination to knock out the unwanted iron.
