Many of WWII small calibre propelled grenades were used for ground-to-air or air- to-air combat by German Army. Usually, these grenades had a self-destruction ignitor so they would not endanger people on the ground. If this self-destruction mechanism would fail, the ignitor and the grenade would remain very unstable in the ground. Sometimes the ignitor detaches from the grenade while flying. Do not mess with them! The small aluminium cylinder at the back of the ignitor contains enough explosives to blow some fingers off.
