Patriotic Token 1863 - a representative of a second basic type of the US Patriotic Civil War tokens, the so-called "Patriotic" tokens which contained no sponsor's name who would redeem them for cash. The token passed as one cent. Miss Liberty in her Phrygian cap reminiscent of America's early coinage is on obverse, and a legend ARMY and NAVY within the wreath is on reverse.
